MY DARLING TEENAGE SWEETPEA

Well, I just read one of my favorite blogs! I'll Fly Away (aka) singing purple feathers.blogspot.com. For the adults who read this, you might try reading the wisdom of a 13 yr-old! She is wise beyond her years and sweeter than a Georgia peach!!  She gets this of course from her intense love for the Lord and the training and guidance of her parents who are to be commended highly!! Good job! I can picture God smiling down on you all, now. Keep up the good work.

So, what has been happening in my life? Well, I too am growing closer and closer to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit through some really tough trials. Not even related to my health, for a change, although that remains to be a constant problem. But I know that in Heaven we shall have no more pains and only beauty and peace and be with our Savior forever, Amen, Hallelujah!!

The high school I graduated from (I attended my last two of 4 yrs. there) is having an "All 60's Reunion" next year and I seeing alot of friends on Facebook whom I knew slightly (I was pathetically shy) and some I knew quite well and am still great friends with.  By the way, I'm writing this in purple in honor of my SweetPea. (never mind that I spell it differently every time, it sounds the same!)  Anyway, I have so many places I want to go to next year, mostly to see family I have not seen in years, like cousins that I am so close to in states I've never been to...what is one to do?  Cost will be a big factor. And then of course I want to make a pilgrimage to Medjugorje (In Yugoslavia) and I don't know what that will cost...Why does things have to cost money?? Silly, rhetorical question, I know. It's not like I'm asking for a full re-do of my clothes closet. For Pete's sake, I've been wearing the same stuff, age appropriate of course, for many years now. Why change?

It would be nice to hear from my family, any of them besides my mom whom I call every week, even if they blogged to me. But busy, busy, busy I guess. Well, I am too. I co-lead a Prayer Network at my church with another 91-year-young lady who is as sweet as they come. However, her health is at this time giving her fits, pneumonia, which she is prone to and this is not the best weather here in MN, so of course, she is on our Prayer list, you can count on that!!  We are fortunate to have quite a few volunteers who offer their time and their prayers for the needs of so many people!

Sorry, I haven't spent any time designing this blog. Maybe some day I'll get around to it. Occasionally, I remember to Blog!! So please feel free to resond to any or all of my blogs, would love to hear from you.

May God Bless you all, always. And Merry Christmas as we celebrate the wonderful Blessing of God's Birth in the Christ Child, Jesus!!

AHHHH! SUMMER IS GONE, FALL IS GONE...WINTER SOON!!!!

Well! I'm sure not good at keeping a blog, am I?!! Fall is almost over out here in the Mid-West and, ummm, I'm not, that's NOT, ready for winter. Just heard it's supposed to be fewer snowstorms but coldeeeeerrrrr! That's what happens when there are no clouds to cover the earth during winter, it is colderrrrrrr!!

Ok, enough whining. Take a big, deep sigh and move on. And I thought slightly below freezing in CA was cold! Oops, there I go again, weather. Now I know what all the Mid-Westerners just talk, talk, talk about weather!

No garden this year and on the bright side, no garden to "take down". (It's on the huge deck above the garage). However, on the down side, no fried green tomatoes either. Well, I did have some petunias, the wave kind and the regular but they were in big pots. Why no garden?? We were getting our deck totally replaced including a new roof for the garage. The railing goes up tomorrow. It will be a newer style than the old wooden boards. Anyway, it will look nice. And be more safe!! The boards were beginning to rot through and the railing was leaning outward toward the street, so it will be nice to have a new deck. But it saves on the back when I don't do a garden so maybe I won't go so "whole-hog" next time I do one!

As you can see, I still have not learned a blessed thing about "decorating" my blog. I guess it just isn't a priority, the text is the important thing (?)

I just had another Birthday and a friend of my in a neighboring state had a Birthday Party for me!! I was going over to spend 5 days/6 nights and she surprised me with a party! Of course, all the ladies were farrrrrr older than I was, hee hee. But it was nice to be remembered on what I call anyone's "Special Day".

Well, short, but sweet, that's what I always say. Talk with all you later. Is anyone out there reading this?
God's Blessings to everyone!  Nana, Mom, DyDee and Dyann

ANOTHER "NEW YEAR" POST 9/11!!!

Well, I still haven't learned a ding-dong thing about inserting pics or anything...tough to be so ooollllldddd and no one :-( to help you.  Where is my all grown up daughter when I need her?? With her family, where else!!

Ok, great for us we made a milestone, 10 years post 9/11 and no problems on the anniversary.  Did any of  you watch any programs about it?  I ran right through the Kleenex!!  Even Chris (Papa) had tears. You would need a stone heart to not have any. Well, we can't sigh yet as Evil is still alive out there. But we have God on our side. Let's make sure we Americans let each other know it's ok, really OK, to have God in our lives. It's the best plan of LIVING!!

My granddaughter, the oldest that is, :-) has a blog, she calls it singingpurplefeathers.blogspot.com but it pops up as I'll Fly Away so I don't know which to save it under. But check it out. It is really a work of art and shows just how beautiful, inside and out, she is.

Well, am going to hit the laundry and maybe someday, get to learn how to fix this blog to look great!!

My God Bless You All, Always!!
